About Holly

The Sleep Practice was founded by Dr Holly Milling B.Sc., M.sc., DClin.Psy, PG.Dip. Registered Clinical Psychologist, Accredited Cognitive Behavioural therapist, and Mindfulness teacher, Holly is a trusted and experienced Behavioural Sleep Medicine specialist. She is also a member of the British Sleep Society and a founding member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists in Sleep Medicine.

Prior to setting up The Sleep Practice, Holly worked in the NHS for 16 years in some of London’s top hospitals (including Kings College Hospital and Imperial). Holly also trains Clinical Psychologists and CBT therapists within the NHS and is a Clinical & Academic Tutor on the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training Programme at Canterbury Christ Church University.

"During my 16 years of working in the NHS, I noticed that sleep difficulties were present for almost every client I worked with. Yet so many had struggled to find a properly qualified sleep specialist and the evidence-based treatment that they needed. Sleep difficulties are extremely common and can be treated successfully if you see the right expert. I set up this practice to offer effective, evidence based treatment for insomnia, as well as a range of other sleep difficulties.

I also believe in being proactive and tackling sleep difficulties before they reach crisis point and that's where our ‘Sleep for Life’ service comes in. We'll teach you how to achieve a healthy night’s sleep (using evidence-based techniques that work), meaning you can make the most of the day ahead."

We recognise that in the modern world, people want to access specialist support without having to travel or to fit into rigid clinic times. That’s why we’re proud to offer our service through online platforms, such as skype and zoom. We’ll find appointment times to suit you, all from the comfort of your own home or office.
